Junior Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (JCCO)
Junior Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (JCCO)
"The Junior Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (JCCO) is an annual contest hosted by the University of British Columbia’s Department of Chemistry and the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC).to prepare grades 7 to 12 students for the Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC) and the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (CCO). Its main goal is to foster interest and excellence in chemistry among younger high school students, encouraging them to explore advanced chemical concepts beyond the standard curriculum.
Each year, interested students in these grades take a 90-minute multiple-choice test covering topics from the 11th-grade chemistry curriculum and beyond. The top performers receive certificates recognizing their achievement. SIMCC is te co-organizer of this event globally outside of China and Canada."
